Our firewood production is from the best birch forests. Baltic birch is grown in the northern part of Europe, where the cold temperatures make growth rates much slower. The wood therefore has a very tight grain and higher density than faster-growing varieties, meaning our logs have a high heat output and efficiency compared with wood from other parts of Europe. The technical properties of birch make it an excellent material for top-quality firewood.
